On Morality: Talk & Discussion

  • Liverpool Public Library 310 Tulip Street Liverpool, NY, 13088 United States (map)

Are you ever asked, "If you don't believe in God, where do you get your morality from?" Or even the much more concerning, “If you don’t believe in God, what keeps you from murdering people?!”

To which a non-believer may well respond, "Where do I even begin??"

Humanist Celebrant, CNYHA board member, and history teacher Jessica Dapson will give a talk on the history of morality, followed by a discussion of where humans' (and Humanists’!) sense of right and wrong comes from.

Come find us in the Sargent Room, just to the left of the Liverpool Public Library’s circulation desk. If you would like to join by Zoom, please RSVP to CNYHumanists@gmail.com.

Anyone interested in keeping the conversation going afterward, can join us for refreshment at The Retreat, just around the corner from the library.
