We have some exciting news here in Central New York! The CNY Humanists are joining other secular groups in the area to form the Central New York Coalition of Reason! The CNY CoR is made up of atheist, free thought, and humanist groups in Syracuse and throughout the greater Central New York region. The goal of the group is to foster secular community and raise awareness of all that these diverse groups have to offer.
The official launch of the CNY CoR will be October 14th through 25th. Our main event, on Sunday, October 18th, will be the Syracuse premiere of the documentary "A Better Life: An Exploration of Joy & Meaning in a World Without God." The film will be screened at the historic Landmark Theatre and will be followed by a Q&A with the director/producer Chris Johnson.
Here is a complete schedule of launch events that will showcase the various groups in the Coalition and spread the word that there are many opportunities for the non-religious to connect and get involved in Central New York!
